Hospital Physician Partners Expands Texas Presence with Wadley Regional Medical Center Partnership

Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, July 6, 2010 – Hospital Physician Partners, a nationwide Medical Management company that specializes in the integration of Emergency Department (ED) and Hospitalist Medicine programs and government healthcare staffing, announced today the start of a new ED partnership with Wadley Regional Medical Center located in Texarkana, Texas.
With the addition of Wadley Regional Medical Center, Hospital Physician Partners now manages 10 ED and Hospitalist contracts in Texas. “We are excited to partner with Wadley Regional Medical Center and become actively engaged with their team so we can provide the right management solutions,” Hospital Physician Partners Chief Executive Officer Jeffrey Schillinger said, “We have a strong presence and connection to the Texas healthcare community and we will continue to strengthen that bond through our continued commitment to a local management approach.”
Hospital Physician Partners Clinical Operations leadership team consists of clinicians and former hospital executives with decades of experience in ED and Hospitalist Medicine management and clinical practice experience. Each member of the Hospital Physician Partners Clinical Operations team works either clinically and/or administratively in the hospitals they serve.
Effective July 1, Hospital Physician Partners will be responsible for the daily management and physician staffing of Wadley Regional Medical Center’s emergency department, which has an annual patient volume of 44,000. The Florida-based Medical Management company added 26 new Emergency and Hospitalist Medicine contracts in 2009. The addition of Wadley Regional Medical Center is the 12th contract awarded to Hospital Physician Partners in the first 5 months of 2010.
