Sterling Healthcare’s Hospitalist programs provide 24 hour inpatient coverage with Board Certified or Board Prepared Internists specializing in hospital based medicine. Sterling’s hospitalists coordinate the delivery of care to hospitalized patients and work closely with the medical and ancillary staff to enhance efficiency. Sterling Hospitalist programs include the following options:

  • Continuum management of all inpatient care
  • General internal medicine consults
  • Response to hospital inpatient codes
  • Response to medical ICU
  • Management of patients referred from other attending physicians
  • Management of unassigned patients admitted through the Emergency Department
  • Coverage of any long-term nursing facility and swing bed units associated with the hospital
  • Admission of surgical cases upon request, including pre and peri-operative services
