Job Description
  • 12,000Annual ED Volume
  • 5 ED Beds
  • Single Physician Coverage
  • 12-hr & 24-hr shifts, with shift change times at 7a & 7p
Practice Description

The facility has a 9-bed intensive care unit and general medical and surgical floors and has an active medical staff including six family practitioners, an internist, a general surgeon and an emergency room physician. Services available at Atmore Community include mobile CT scans, mammography, outpatient surgery, home health care, diabetes education/support group, cardiology services, physical and social services, and HealthSource a 24-hour nurse advice line and physician appointment/referral service. Additionally, the hospital and community are served by Baptist Hospital BaptistFlight, a helicopter-based transport system for critically ill or injured patients.

Atmore is located in the southwest corner of Alabama. Residents enjoy the best of both worlds amidst a backdrop of rich farmlands and pine forests located between the metropolitan areas and beautiful beaches of Mobile, Alabama and Pensacola, Florida.
